We are back from Taiwan!
First Day - 31 Oct 2013 Thursday
- Reach Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 6am (By ScootBiz TZ202)
- Bought Guo Guang Bus Tickets to Taipei Main Station (About 45 mins)
- Collected our High Speed Rail (HSR) tickets to Taichung
- Took cab to Dandy Hotel as not sure how to go
- Got free breakfast by the hotel staffs as we reach early to deposit the luggages
- Went to McDonald to eat again and wait for Xin Guang San Yue and Taipei Da Ge Da to open
- Go supermarket buy for Elva's porridge
- Checked in early as the hotel staffs were very helpful and help us a lot
- Took a nap in hotel
- Went to Ning Xia Night Market - Ate Oyster thin noodles and Fried smelly tofu
- Bought bread along Ning Xia to Dandy Hotel
Second Day 1 Nov 2013 Friday
- Ate Breakfast in Hotel and Checked out
- Took Cab to Taipei Main Station
- Took HSR to Taichung (About 58 mins) - Check cabin number first then seat number
- Reach Taichung and called Mr Chen
- Brought us to eat Taichung famous meat balls - very good
- Brought us to Min Su (Eiffel Tower) to check in
- Brought us to Xin Guang San Yue and Da Yuan Bai to shop (About 3 hours)
- Took cab to Min Su
- Went Feng Jia Night Market (Bought Bread for Breakfast)
- Ate Fried Chicken - so so only
- Ate fried sweet potatoes - very good
Third Day 2 Nov 2013 Saturday
- Mr Liao came brought us to Taichung famous sandwich - very soft
- Went to Taichung Tai Yang Bing Shop (Remember to ask about Pineapple tarts too when go next time)
- Went to Ji Ji old Tunnel Road
- Went to Ri Yue Tan (Sun Moon Lake) by boat
- Ate Mochi (peanut / sesame)- very good
- Ate chicken drumstick cover with rice - very good
- Went Pu Li ate Lu Rou Fan (Braised Pork Rice) and meat ball soup - very good
- Went Wine Factory - Not recommend to go again
- Went 18 degress chocolate shop - very crowded and expensive
- Passed by Qing Jing Farm but didn't went inside
- Checked in to Min Su (Sen Zi Lian)
Fourth Day 3 Nov 2013 Sunday
- Wanted to see sunrise but too cloudy
- Went to Taroko National Park (Tai Lu Ge Gong Yuan)
- Went to Bi Lu Sen Mu (Sacred Tree - 3200 years old)
- Ate San Bei Ji (Black Peeper Chicken) - so so only
- Drink honey red tea - very good
- Went to Tian Xiang
- Went to Yan Zi Kou
- Went to Qi Xin Tan
- Went to Hua Lien Min Su (Shi Tou Zi Jia)
- Ate Oyster Omelette - so so only
- Release Tian Deng (Kong Ming Lantern)- writing blessing in the lantern and rise the lantern up in the sky
Fifth day 4 Nov 2013 Monday
- Went to Qing Shui Duan Ya (Cliff)
- Ate Guo Tie (Dumpling) - very good
- Went to Jiu Fen street - famous staircases
- Ate taiwan sausage - very good
- Check in CityInn Taipei Station Branch 3 Hotel
Sixth Day 5 Nov 2013 Tuesday
- Went to Taipei Main Station Metro top up easy card (top up NT400 each)
- Went to Ximending (Ximen Station Exit 6)
- Went to Wu Fen Pu (HouShanPi Station Exit 4 Turn right x3 then straight)
- Ate Famosa Chang Lu Rou Fan (Braised Pork Rice) - very good
- Ate Strawberry Waffle (Opposite Famosa Chang there a cafe) - very big portion very good but ice milk tea so so only
- Walked to Rao He Night Market (Near Song Shan Train Station TRA- One stop away from Taipei Main Station)
- Ate Tong Rou Shao - very good
Seventh Day 6 Nov 2013 Wednesday
- Went to Chiang Kai Sheng Memorial (CKS Memorial Station)
- Went to Tamsui Old Street (Tamsui Station)
- Ate Japanese Ramen - so so only
- Ate Ah Gay (Tau Pok with Dong Fen inside) - so so only
- Ate the red bean pancake - very good
- Went to Lovers Bridge by Boat (go to Ah Ma Tie Dan go down the street and use easy card to pay)
- Took bus back to Tamsui Metro station
- Went to Shi lin Night Market (Jiantan Station)
- Ate Bear Claw Bun - so so only
- Ate fried sweet potatoes - very good
Eighth Day 7 Nov 2013 Thursday
- Went to Sun Yat San Memorial (SYS Memorial Station)
- Went to Taipei 101 (NT500 each to go Observatory)
- Ate Ding Tai Feng - very good
- Went Hello Kitty Restaurant (Zhong Xiao Fu Xing Station) - cakes not good
- Went Ximending again (Ximen Station)
- Went to Meng Jia Night market - Hua Xi market (Longshan Temple Station)
Ninth Day 8 Nov 2013 Friday
- Packed luggage
- Ate You Tiao, Dan Bing - so so only
- Take cab to Guo Guang Bus Station
- Buy tickets (NT125 each) Bus 1819 to Taoyuan Airport
- Wait for Scoot TZ201 back home
- Home sweet home
