Elva is 136 days old

Elva is 136 days (19 weeks) old.

Elva went for her first wedding dinner as Jerlyn's friend got married. But she did not enjoy it as she was constantly crying during the dinner. The next day she got cough and phlegm and Jerlyn got to take urgent leave to take care of her. Then Elva got fever another day and I took half day leave to go fetch her back from Infant care and take care of her.

Elva went to her first temple and let the high monk pray for her. While praying, she managed to pooed after two days of constipation.

We went to meet Cecilia, Liting, Trisa plus Vivan and Jacqueline plus Nicholas plus Isabelle at Clark Quay TCC for high tea and chat. It was been some time since we met and had a long chat there.

Elva is 129 days old

Elva is 129 days (18 weeks) old.

We brought Elva to her first swimming lesson at Baby Spa Harbourfront. at first she was not used to it and not kicking about but after a while she was having fun. But Jerlyn felt that the package of 10 lessons in 6 months is cramp. That's mean that we need to go there at least twice a month. So Jerlyn was thinking of buying a portable pool tub at home for Elva to learn swimming.

We decided to stay home yesterday and rest with Elva while waiting for my cousin Jaymee come over and collect the baby cot that my cousin Cyndi handover to me. This baby cot has been our family baby cot. Cyndi's brother bought this cot for his son, then pass to Cyndi for her daughter, then pass to me for Elva. Now I have handover to Jaymee for her upcoming newborn baby boy. She will be due on end September, might be around my birthday. Maybe after that she can handover the cot to her brother who just got married last year.

We also talk about Elva saving plan with Jaymee and after that we went to eat dinner with Jerlyn's Mum at Clementi Mall as she was alone that day.

Elva is 4 months old

Elva is 122 days (17weeks) [4 months] old.

I went for a one week course (Oil/Petrochemical Safety Supervisor Course) with test included. I met MF on one of the days for lunch and chat.

Elva is getting used to infant care already. We got hard time preparing her to go for infant care while Jerlyn started work. Lucky I was on course so I can help to bring Elva to infant care while Jerlyn need to go for her team building event. Jerlyn's brother help out in fetching Elva back too.

We went to Mount Alvernia (International Child & Adolescent Clinic) to let Doctor Ong to check on Elva. He told us that Elva has weak windpipe (Laryngomalacia) which cause the vibration of the voice cord, that is why she will have the phlegm sound after every meal. This symptom causes 1 in 100 infant. But it will get better when she grow up as the windpipe will grow stronger.

We went to salon to have Elva hair cut as she reaches 4 months old. But we felt sad that she cut her hair and misses her hair. We also let her eat (or rather lick) her first drumstick meaning she can semi-solid food now.

Elva is 115 days old

Elva is 115 days (16 weeks) old.

It was a short week as there was a Labour day in between the week.

Li Teng came to visit Elva on the Labour day and we went for our long awaited foot massage. We have not done foot massage since the last trip to Bangkok in April 2012, where Jerlyn found out she was pregnant with Elva.

I took Child Care Leave to accompany Jerlyn to bring Elva for her first day in Infant Care. The area was not bad, with air conditioning. We met the teachers and told us what we need to know. Elva did not drink and sleep much on her first day of infant care, she was not used to the new environment.

My deadline for my KPI is due soon so I need to finish my work soon. I hate to bring work home to do as I want to help Jerlyn to take care of my Baby Elva. But this company is not really supportive, where I could have better time management if things goes my way. It was quite frustrating at times, wanting to resign and change job but I need to endure as I still have not completed my studies.

We went to Linda's daughter first birthday party at the grassroots club. We saw some old friends and lots of kids there. One of our friends, Chee Shuen and Jiamin had his car hit by someone and the guy hit and run. They had their daughter Claire in the car but all of them was not hurt. They managed to find the hit and run guy and report him to the police, so they could not come for the party.
