Elva is 50 weeks old

Elva is 359 days old.

We went to Huijun's second son Noah full month celebration at her house. Jerlyn get to know a friend named Jane and they chat like they were long lost friend. Nicholas told me about the happening and politics in my previous workplace.

I took another assessment test for my modules and got to do one report for this module. Next week will be my 3rd test out of the 11 modules.

We have decide which cake we wanted for Elva, but we still didn't have chances to meet with the Resident Committee Treasurer to deposit the money. The Resident Committee Room is always closed.

Christmas eve was quite usual for me. The usual gift exchange in the office, I got a converse pouch from my Operations Manager (it looks like it have been kept for many years with the molds on it). We went to visit Roger and Ann and little Caslyn at their home and get back our stuffs that Ann helped us to buy. Roger was helping me to moved all the cartons down to the car if not I got to go up and down 4 times.

Christmas day we went for crazy Christmas shopping as Jerlyn got vouchers from her company to spend. So we went down to the supermarket and bought over $300 worth of stuffs. It was really a Christmas shopping that we didn't check and just grab and go.

I have taken 2 tests out of 11 modules and 7 more tests to go for my Specialist Diploma.

After one news after another news, I was thinking what will happen next year. It seems that changes will take place very soon.

We need to order Elva's cake soon, after her birthday party venue has been reserved. But we still haven't paid as the Treasurer of the Resident Committee has been missing in action.

My desktop computer is going to die soon, now getting more difficult to start up. We bought it at 2009 Thanksgiving and serve it well till now. It has been almost 5 long years. That why I miss out writing the blog last weekend.

We still have to find the RC Manager to book for Elva's First Birthday Party. The Manager has been missing for a while.

We went to Diying's house for her daughter's Sophia full month celebration. I saw some of my officer from my previous company and he is still as cocky as ever, feel that I should not be here as I am only a specialist rather than an officer. After that we rush to meet Jacqueline and Nicholas plus Isabelle at Vivocity for lunch and chat.

I went to Sharon's wedding and saw many of my old colleagues and was chatting about the time in Thailand detachment. After that I rush to Chee Shuen's house for dinner, to see Jake and meet Jerlyn and Elva as Chee Shuen and Jiamin had Jake's full month celebration.

We went to Jurong Point to shop after my class and also bought my new phone, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 after taking few hours to decide which phone to buy.

Elva is really getting the hang of standing now.

The Audit if really straining my energy away. Five days of audit checking almost every thing. Next week they will continue and come back for the walk through. Really need a rest after that. But another audit coming so time to stress again.

I went to Junna's Wedding at Concorde Hotel and there were no one I knew went. All giving excuses and did not go. So I sat with a table of female teachers talking about their work. First time I feel like sleeping during a wedding dinner.

We have managed to book Elva's first birthday party room just below our home, so it would be more convenient. Now we got to source for her birthday cake. Invites has been sent out and left catering which we will order through Jerlyn's uncle.

Elva now knows how to drink from a straw and getting better in her standing position.

I started my class again and felt that working and studying is draining my energy away. But for our better future I need to continue to work hard.

The class that I enrolled has only 4 students only including me inside but because the previous batch and our batch overlapped each other so total class strength now is 11 students.

Even though the school is at Singapore Polytechnic which is very near to my home, when it started raining I still get soaked to my underwear, not sure it is my plain unluckiness that it rain when I am going home.

We came back from Taiwan and I need to start my school life again. Due to my friend's mistake I went to a class which is not needed. But I received a call from Mum that my sister is in hospital again, so I went to visit her. Doctor say need to monitor a few days before could give a firm answer on her health.

We went for my Graduation ceremony after I collected my graduation gown on weekday. I didn't know it will take so long as the registration took forever, the dressing up was ok but was heavy and hot after wearing it. The whole ceremony took about 2 and half hours to finish. It was quite an experience and I glad it over. After that we rush home to change and fetch xue ning to go to Jerlyn's friend Jesslyn's baby shower. It was raining very heavily and all of us were wet. After that we went to Gardens by the Bay for Jerlyn's company family day. It was wet and flooded at the event area and many events didn't go well as planned so it was a tiring day for us.

• Reach Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at 6am (By ScootBiz TZ202)
• Bought Guo Guang Bus Tickets to Taipei Main Station (About 45 mins)
• Collected our High Speed Rail (HSR) tickets to Taichung
• Took cab to Dandy Hotel as not sure how to go
• Got free breakfast by the hotel staffs as we reach early to deposit the luggages
• Went to McDonald to eat again and wait for Xin Guang San Yue and Taipei Da Ge Da to open
• Go supermarket buy for Elva's porridge
• Checked in early as the hotel staffs were very helpful and help us a lot
• Took a nap in hotel

Elva has those red patches coming out on her face and body. We went to see Doctor Choi and he explained that that was normal when after a high fever. The coughing around the whole families have not stopped and we are nearing our Taiwan trip. Hope we can recover in time for the trip.

We went to one of the January babies gathering at Changi area and meet up with all the parents and babies of Elva's age. It was a good chatting for Jerlyn and Elva even though Elva did not interact much.

We went to Greenwich Mall to meet up with the PC2 families. We went to Punggol MRT and meet Boon and Jiamin plus Claire and went together in Boon's car. We met up with Fabian, Lili plus Aerith and Zack whom has just came back from America not long ago. Linda, Teck Tong plus Giselle came later and we had a 4 hours lunch gathering.

Elva fall sick having fever up to 40.5 Degree. At first we thought she was teething but we were wrong as teething does not have high fever.

We went to KK Hospital at 2 am in the morning to see the doctor and the doctor there really could not make it. He wanted to take blood test and urine test for Elva to check the root cause but as urine test need to wait for her to pee, the doctor suggested to take the urine from the bladder by inserting into her urine tract to the bladder. He tried several times but could not get in and asked another doctor for help but still could not get it. Jerlyn was crying as she saw Elva in so much pain, so we decided to wait using the urine bag. But the nurse did not stick it properly and Elva peed on my pants. Lucky the leftover urine can use for the test. I got to go to the nursing room and carrying Elva in my underwear while Jerlyn help me use toilet blower to blow dry my pants. After that the other doctor who takeover the stupid doctor say he suspected Kawasaki disease so need to take x ray as precaution. The whole event told 5 hours and we left the hospital at 7am.

We were so tired and sick, so when we reach home we went to see doctor and took mc. This is the first time the whole family took mc together.

Till now we are still recovering and miss Huijun's Kaden birthday party.

Elva went for her Development Assessment at Polyclinic. She is able to hear and see clearly but is easily distracted which is normal for babies her age. Her weight is back to normal but her height is a bit low. We shall monitor and see how.

We can see that her lower front teeth is coming out. That why is having a slight fever. She now like to bite everything that is given to her.

We went to Ikea to buy baby high chair for her to put at her grandma's house as she always eat over there. Her cousin who is coming out soon can use it too.

Elva is 271 days old.

We went to Suntec for the Raise and Shine Kids Fair and got free goodies like one packet of Drypers sample of 52 pieces. The event was big but there is nothing much that interest us.

Elva was having fever and phlegm and missed two days of school. Jerlyn took one day to bring her see doctor and I took another day to take care of her.

The teachers in infant care bought Goofy soft toy for her for Children's day and closed the infant care centre to celebrate. So we brought Elva to go for the visit my cousin Jaymee who has just give birth to little Mex at Mount Alveria Hospital.

We went to Expo after that for the Baby Market Fair and it was so crowded that we didn't have chances to look at very stalls. Even the diaper changing room need to queue too. There were too many people that we only managed to buy one item that we want (hipster seat baby carrier for Elva) and left. We went to the neighbour hall which have Robinson sale and bought more than we bought in Baby Market Fair.

We went to have our photoshoot (free from my birthday treats from Prudential) at Fort Canning Park and was taken by a 21 years old guy and 23 years old guy trainee. The place was nice and the photos took for Elva was really nice but for the couple and family shot was quite normal. We paid $60 to get all the photos.

We went to meet Jerlyn's friends, Yingshi, Jane and Kenneth for dinner at Plaza Singapura and have a chat but Elva was sleepy so we left early. My Skechers shoe's rubber came off too. It was likely that it has not been worn for quite some time resulting the rubber drop off.

Elva know how to from sit to crawl and from crawl to sit with ease, and she can crawl quite fast now. I think sooner or later she can stand.

Elva is 250 days (35 weeks) old.

Jerlyn want to her friend's (Jodi) wedding dinner and I took care of Elva at home. But
Elva was not use to her mummy not around her and she cried for 2 hours before she fell alseep.

Yesterday Jerlyn went for her colleague's (Stephanie) wedding dinner and I took care of her again she was able to adapt.

Elva started crawling on her own but using the leopard crawl method. But nevertheless, she crawled and managed to go from crawl position to sit position while Jerlyn and I was chatting. We didn't managed to see her do that. Hope she can do more.

Elva is 243 days (34 weeks) old.

We went to Bangkok together as a family, Elva first time taking the plane. We though that Elva might be crying when the plane take off or landing due to the pressure different but she was not affected by it and could sleep when we landed back in Singapore.

This trip was more a relax and a test trip for Elva to see if she could adapt to oversea trip and she passed the test. We tried to be indoor as much as possible where there is air conditioning for her so she would not be in the hot sun and vehicle emission of Bangkok for too long.

We bought clothes for Elva, shoes, bags and clothes for Jerlyn, and shoes, clothes and underwear for me. We even bought the family T-shirts for our upcoming photo shoot.

Overall Elva adapted well for the trip and we look forward for our Taiwan trip in November.

I went for my Work At Height (WAH) Supervisor Course and realise that we need to have Work At Height Assessor Course and Work At Height Manager Course for the Permit to Work (PTW) System. So company will send me to the Assessor Course when the Approved Training Provider (ATP) has this course started.

I went to Holiday Inn Orchard City Centre to help out on my parent company's annual event. I was the game master of the mastermind booth before the annual dinner start, so I tried to get people to play the games and give out free gifts.

We (Jerlyn, Elva and me) went to Chinatown with Jerlyn's family to eat Song fish head and buy toiletries.

We brought Elva to see Dr Choi again as she is having running nose, having diarrhea in school only. Jerlyn was having running nose too, so she consulted Dr. Choi too. Since I was there, I consulted Dr. Choi about my foot condition, plantar fascia. My foot needs time to recover, and my IPPT is nearing soon, not sure how to solve this problem.

We went to Vivian's house for gathering and let Jerlyn's colleagues to see Elva.

Elva is 222 days (31 weeks) old.

Finally finish my last paper. After 2 years and 8 months of degree course, I finally reach the milestone. I feel so happy. But this is just the beginning only. The road is still far ahead for me. There is still a lot of things to learn and do. But now I shall enjoy the waiting of my results and my upcoming trip to Bangkok and Taiwan.

This year we haven't go for oversea trip yet as a family. Although I have went to India for oversea trip and go Hello Kitty Town in Malaysia as a family.But next month Elva will be taking her first plane ride, hope she can manage it.

I went to see doctor for my foot again. Doctor diagnosed as Plantar Fascia. I need to do stretching exercise that would help to improve and reduce the pain. I will have to check again in a month time to see what is the outcome.

Elva has a stomach virus that caused her to have diarrhea for almost a week. I got to bring her back from infant care centre for 2 days to take care of her. Lucky I took leave for my exams and could go fetch her back easily. The exam didn't affect me much as I use the exam day to read through.

It's a super long weekend this week as there were two holidays on Thursday and Friday. I took Child Care Leave on Wednesday as Elva's Infant Care Centre closed half day due to holiday. Then I was sick on Monday so I got medical leave on Tuesday which practically didn't work the whole week.

We went to my classmate Raymond's house for gathering and the kids love Elva and keep playing with her.

Most of the week we have been lazing around at home as it was raining. Elva watched her first National Day Parade at home.

We went to Clementi Mall and met Jia Yi for lunch and chat as Jia Yi wanted to see little Elva.

Little Elva's Little boyfriend Hanto has been transferred to Japanese School so Elva was a little sad. But there are one more new boyfriend who is 2 months older than Elva who has just join the Infant Care Centre.

Elva is 201 days (28 weeks) old.

It has been a zombie week as Elva still wake up in the middle of the night for milk. I think it might be the grow sprut that is happening to her.

I went for my yearly dental check up at west coast plaza and my teeth was fine.

We went to buy Elva stage 1 formula milk at Jurong West again, becuase the stage 2 formula milk seems like not suitable for her yet. So we decided to delay stage 2 formula milke for Elva first and slowly add in stage 2 for her till she get used to it.

Elva is 194 days old

Elva is 194 days (27 weeks) old.

It was a tiring week as Elva was trying to adjust from stage one formula milk to stage two formula milk and she woke up a lot of time in the middle of the time which make us like zombies.

Finally got back another $200 from Devon whom borrowed $500 from me in July 2012. He returned us $100 in March so now left $200 more. I will not be lending people money anymore again since this incident, unless it is a small amount (less than $100) or immediate family.

I went to meet James for dinner. We talked about work and he told me that I am really underpaid for the work that I did. He really make me think about my future ahead. That why I want to keep upgrading, going for courses to improve myself. Jerlyn and Elva is my focus now to provide a better life in the future.

We went to IMM to clear our captialand mall vouchers and to claim for my $100 claim. So I went to G2000 to buy office wear while Jerlyn went to Giant to buy her long waited luggage.

Finally I had my last test for my degree. Next month will be my last exam. Feeling great as finally finishing my degree in 2 years and 8 months.

Thinking of taking another specialist diploma to upgrade myself as this line is really competitive.

We went to Nicholas and Huijun new house for dinner and chat as we haven't seen them since they came back from America.

We went to Hello Kitty Town with Boon and Jiamin plus Claire and it was quite near to Tuas second link actually. We thought it would be at least 1 hour drive. The Legoland is nearer to Hello Kitty Town. But it was not what Jerlyn has expected a big town that can walk like Disneyland. In fact, it was just a one storey in door building and not much to walk.

We went to Johor Premium Outlet too and it was that cheaper either. It is still the best to shop in the states where it is still cheaper. But if spend the money to fly to the states, the prices would be the same.

We went to Taman Bukit Indah Yee Shen medical hall to buy formula milk and diapers. It was cheaper than in Singapore. We might go there again to stock up for Elva.

This week has been busy for me as I was at work sites more than in office. The work is really piling up and not sure how long can I clear finish the backlog.

I went for my class after two weeks of break and there will be another week of break next week before my second test. Looking forward to my last exam for my degree and hope to graduate in November.

Jerlyn went for massage and shopping on her day off but did not buy anything.

We met Ming and Serene for chat at JEM and found that they going to PC2 again.

Elva is 164 days old

Elva is 164 days (23 weeks) old.

Due to the haze we got to stay indoors, especially for Elva. She is now only school and home. The Haze has reached 401 PSI which is hazardous, so we need to take precaution.

Jerlyn took a day off to do her health check, waxing and also shopping for Elva's walker and highchair. Eventually, she bought the walker and highchair at Kiddy Palace and Elva is enjoying her walker now. The highchair is a bit too big for her now, maybe when she grow older we will let her sit.

I went for my course at Singapore Post Centre and it was quite fun. Although I still got to think of the workshop that I organised but my manager would handle it. I still need to check on things. Hope my next course would come faster.

I was having a break from my studies for 2 weeks and now I got to go back to school again. With the haze, I got to wear the N95 mask.

Elva is 150 days old

Elva is 150 days (21 weeks) old.

We went to Jurong Point Kiddy Palace to look for Elva's high chair and walker but it was out of stock. We get to eat Ding Tai Feng that we haven't eat for a long time.

Huijun came and pass me our stuff that we bought in America. She came out my place by driving and at first I got shocked as I know her for almost 10 years and first time see her drive. She finally got her licence in America.

We went to Zhi Qiang's house to collect our stuffs from America and met his wife, Aor and son Ashton too. We managed to take pictures of our new home which is just opposite Zhi Qiang's house.

We went to Robinson at Centrepoint to buy our thermal storage flask for Elva, and end up buying the Avent Blender bundle. We also bought Cold Stone Creamery back.

We started to use the swimming pool that we bought for Elva and she was having fun swimming in it. But the water use is quite a large amount, so we can't be letting her play in the pool all the time.
